2016 - Goals & Thoughts

Welcome to a new post!

We have made to another end of a year, and I literally feel like 2015 has just rolled by because I expierenced so many new things and went to so many new places, and genuently had the best time!

To end this year, I decided to give you another blogpost, to leave 2015 behind with one last post, to finish an amazing year.

I am the typical type of person that sets herself certain goals at each beginning of the year, and even though I didn't completely fulfill my goals this year, I have never been better at trying to achieve them. So I have decided, even though most youtubers and bloggers do it, to talk about my goals and thoughts for 2016, especially for my own self (Sorry to my Abnegation loves ;) ).

I hope I'll be able to give you some inspiration too, wether you are setting yourself certain goals for 2016 or you are just reading this, basically for fun.

1) Keep and make memories

This point obviously also includes my well loved photography. I love taking pictures and capturing moments, so I really want to keep doing that in 2016. I'm yet to finish my 2015 scrapbook, but I am definetely going to finish that, and start another one for the new year, to keep my memories, and remember.

This also includes finally writing down my bucket list, which I have started quite a few times, but never properly in one place, and also traveling. I love to travel and explore new places, so I would love to do more of that in 2016!

2) Learn & try new things

This includes new things in general and also trying to push me out of my comfort zones, even if it's just while writing a book, and believing in myself more. That last point was deffo something I really struggeld with especially during the really stressy exam time.
I want to finish things that I start, because I really feel like that something I need to work on. I get so exited over ideas or projects, and often I'll either not even start them or not finish them, so that's another point.
Towards the end of the year I also tried to dance more, with some youtube videos, kind of inspired by the lovely girls Lucy and Lydia. I have loved trying that, as I have always loved dancing but never did it ,professionaly', so I want to keep that going, and not stop!

If you know me, you might know that I love languages, even though my French Is terrible ( I really wish it wasn't but that's kinda my own fault I guess..). I have started learning Spanish this year, and so far I'm really liking it! But apart from that I also made it my mission to try to teach myself some Swedish. I think that kind of came from my obsession for Royals, but I really like it so far, since it actually is quite easy, at least in the writing way so far. I really want to keep learning that in the new year, and maybe even pick up another language. (Yes, my result was Erudite. - Sorry for everyone that hasn't read Divergent, you really should. :P)

3) Happiness

This includes another few points that I want to mention. Thank god I wrote notes. Write notes people, write notes!

In 2016 I really want to be as happy as I can possibly be, and do more of what makes me happy. It's important to think about yourself sometimes, even if it sounds selfish. But I also want to spread happiness, because who doesn't love lighting up someone else's day? I want to care less about what other people think about me, even though I already got a lot better this year! I want to worry less, like I tend to do a lot, laugh and smile more, and generelly just HAVE FUN! I also want to work to achieve my dreams and also never forget my favourite quote: ;)

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain.
-Unknown-

4) Share

Spreading happiness would also fit into this category. I have been interested in charity for quite a long time now, but never really did anything major. Even if it's just donating some of my old clothes, I want to do more of that in the new year. Helping other people in general, by helping them in school or something for example, or just giving them advice at a certain point. There are so many options, but it's personally something I want to work on, and share what I can.

This also includes inspiring and getting inspired. I have my role models, as many peoples do, and I love getting inspired by them or whilst scrolling through WeHeartIt (not in every way, but sometimes). Getting inspiration is also really important in my opinion, and it really brings you forward, when you get inspired. We all feel drained out sometimes, and don't really know how to do something anymore, because you just doesn't seem to get it right. So I think getting inspired and inspiring yourself, is a wonderful way to share what you know and think.

5) Aim for a balanced life

This is the best way to sum these points up, thanks to WeHeartIt.

This point sums a few points togethers, as in fitness, health, school and social life. Especially in nowadays society, I feel like these are points we need to think about in our life, as social media can manipulate us in some ways really easily, without even noticing.

Fitness wise I have gotten so much better in 2015, and I spend most of the year actually working out and achieving my goal of getting a bit more toned. Towards the end of the year I didn't do as much anymore, mainly because of exam season, but I'm so ready to pick up speed again with the start of the new year. It really gave me a boost this year, mentally and physically, and I really noticed that I've been feeling much better since I've been doing it reguarly. I want to keep that going, but also try out new things, maybe even going to the gym, even though that's not quite in my comfort zone yet. But as already talked about, that is something I want to work on, but not prioratise it over school, family and friends either.

School wise I want to do my best, and work as hard as I can to achieve the marks and goals that I have set myself, and be more productive more often.  I really want to do well this year, and do better at points that I am not so good at, even though the studying part got better already in 2015. There's always something to work on. But while I do that, I don't want to forget to take breaks for myself either. I stressed myself out so much in November, because I set my expectations and to do lists to high and long. I need to learn to take breaks to sit down and just stare at a book or a youtube video, tv series or whatever. That won't end will if I keep stressing and stressing and stressing only to get good grades!

Social wise, I want to spend less time on social media and my iPod/phone, also when I am not studying. I spend way too much time on there, and instead I want to go outside more and explore where I live and spend more time with books, writing, with my family and friends.

Health wise, apart from fitness obviously, I also want to take more care of eating healthier in 2016. I did well at that at some points, but definetely not as much as I wanted and planned to. I really want to work on that, and also eating less animal products. I started trying new things this year, and now I am eating a lot less meat and sometimes even no animal products at certain meals, which I really feel much better with, to be honest.

6) Try to:

Save money for the future
I am planning so many things, especially for the time when I am done with my A levels, so I really want to try to save some money for those times this year, and spend less on make-up and stuff like that. Not that I won't buy that stuff anymore, I just want to buy less of it.

I really struggled with that in 2014, this year it has gotten better, but I really want to read even more, as I absolutely love exploring new stories!

Write more
Writing is one of my passions, and I defintely didn't do enough of it this year, which I find quite sad, as it's something I absolutely love doing! This better be something I truly start working on, not just at the beginning and end of the year *cough*.

Be more creative
This bascially sums reading and writing up, but I am quite a creative person in general, so I also want to keep spending time decoration, doing DIYs and drawing, and stuff similar to those things.

Stay organized
I have gotten a lot more organized, but I want to keep that going and also start using a proper calendar, as I am a planner, and use way too many little papers to write all of the stuff down that I need to remember.

Work on this blog
I have loved blogging so much in the past two months, and even though school will make it stressful, I still want to give myself the time to sit down and scribble down some words for the internet. Not just keeping to write and post, but also to get more creative and spread my variety and creativity of posts is one of my goals!

7) Remember to:

Stay who I am and accept myself, even when I don't feel like it. I want to remember not to compare myself to others and to get over the things that I can't control. If something happens that you can't control, it doesn't help you to cry and moan about it. You have to get over it, and accept it. I want to dream big and work hard to achieve my dreams, and live in the day. I want to be kind and grateful, appreciate everything and take nothing for granted.

I hope I was able to maybe inspire you with your goals in 2016. Let me know some of your goals for the new year as well. :)

Thank you for amazing two months on this blog. I literally had the best time sharing my thoughts and opinions, and I cannot wait to keep this going, and start posting a bigger variety of blogposts, and also more creative ones. I'll do my best.
I wish you all a happy new year, filled with laughter and happiness. I hope you achieve everything that you want to achieve.

Love, Jacqueline Xx

(P.S. I hope you weren't able to tell that I wrote 90% of this post in the middle of the night. :P)

What I got for my 17th & Christmas

Welcome to a new post!

I personally absolutely love seeing what other people got for their birthday or for Christmas, for example. I thought it would be a nice thing to show you what I got from my friends and family for my 17th and Christmas. As they were very close together (23rd and 24th), and I got a few connected presents, I thought I would put them together into one post.

I don't want to show off with this post at all, just to clarify! I am only showing you these things for fun and inspiration for people that might be looking for presents themselves!

Before I start I also want to say a huge thank you, to everyone that wished me a Happy Birthday on Wednesday, and that thought of me. It really brightened my day. :)
I don't think apart there'll be many people reading this that actually took their time to give me something, but if any of these people are reading this again - thank you so much, again! I am so greatful!

My main present this year was my Kindle, as it is much more affordable to read on it for me, more organized and I can also read much more english books. I also got two cases for it, and I'm already hocked on the books they put onto it!

For my secret santa in school I got some chocolate and a voucher for a German book store, which was quite cool, and my friend got me one of my favourite chocolates and this really nice bath salt!

This is what I got from my Internet bestie, and I literally screamed when I opened the box and saw that Lush stuff. It's probably one of my favourite presents, and it's already being used and loved, just like the wristbands.

I got this Maybelline lipstick, which I actually chose myself :D,  and I love it!
For Christmas I also got this really cute shiny powder spray, which I think has the cutest packaging ever!

My Naked palette is probably my favourite Christmas present ever. I didn't expect to get it, as my parents was completely against it, but you have no idea how happy I was when I found this under the Christmas tree! I'm SO IN LOVE!!

I also got loads of sweets and a few vouchers, but I'm obviously not going to show you that all. Can't wait to show you though what I'll be buying from the vouchers for the make-up store. *-*

One of my closest friends got me these things, and I love them! It's my favourite sprinkling water, plus a cute mug, plus a cute calendar, which I really needed anyway. She also got me a shampoo, but since our faces are on it and it is quite personal, I didn't want to publish it, but it's so lovely and thoughtful!

This is what I got from my best friend, and I am so exited to try this fondue! I've always wanted one for myself, and now I've got one, plus two packages to try it out, so this is definetely going to be used veeery soon, and I cannot wait!

I also got this cute packaged Merci chocolate and also this set my Rituals, which I can't wait to try, as I have only tried their shower foam so far.

I love a good film, so I'm happy I got all the ones that I asked for, as I've wanted to see Insurgent and Paper Towns for quite a while now. I haven't seen the 5SOS one yet, but I especially loved Insurgent so far!

From someone else I got this cute star stuff, which I think is so nice, as I love decoration, and the towel and stuff will definetely be used.

I feel like I now need another room for all of the stuff that I got, as I feel like I'm about to move out with some of the stuff that I got haha. I'm not though, don't worry, not for a few years.
Thank you to everyone that thought of me, and that read this, I am beyond greatful!

If you enjoyed this post, let me know, and also tell me what was your favourite Christmas present that you got this year, if you celebrate it. :)

8 Christmas Make-Up Tutorials

Merry Christmas everyone, and welcome to a new post! <3

As it's either probably either Christmas or Christmas Eve when you're reading this, and you might want to wear a bit more and a bit of a different make-up today.
I personally love watching make-up tutorials, especially around Christmas time, so I thought I would give you some last minute inspiration if you still haven't decided on a look yet.
There's so much variety out there, and youtube is probably the best platform to look, so even if you won't find anything in this post, you will still be able to find something yourself on there that will suit you. My personal favourites are Tanya Burr, InTheFrow and KaushalBeauty, so go check them out, if that is the case.

This is originally a Lily Collins look, but I find it amazing for this time of the year as well as it can look quite christmassy as well. I wore this several times last year, and I am still loving it, even with a natural lip!

InTheFrow

This is actually a Bridesmaid makeup but I think it would look so lovely for any celebration! You could make it look more festive by adding a darker lip, for example. Can't wait to try this myself this year as well!

This is meant for Eid or Autumn, but because of the green glitter on the eyelids it can easily be turned into a Christmas look, that will get you the people to stare at your eyes. It can really give a pretty simple outfit a little extra cherry on top!

Even though that's the name of it, I don't really see it as an Emma Watson Makeup Tutorial but definetely a christmassy one. I love the glittery eye with the red lip, which makes it look so festive and absolutey incredible. This will definetely be one that I will try before 2015 is over!

Perrie

Jade

Jesy

Leigh-Anne

This is four looks in one that also includes an outfit and hair style for each look as well. I love all four of the looks, especially the eye makeup, as they are quite festive because of the glittery eye shadow and bright lips, which I love.
I think Jade's hair and Leigh's Makeup are my favourite, so I'm definetely looking forward to trying some of these, as they are so pretty!

I hope I was able to help you to find your perfect Christmas make-up look, and that it'll go perfectly with your outfit!
Now I'll leave you to your Make-up and get cracking on celebrating with my family after I've done my own make-up.

I wish you all a merry, merry Christmas, filled with loads presents, joy, love and laughter, and in general  an incredible day!

Love, Jacqueline Xx

P.S. I hope you're all okay with there being no blogpost tomorrow, as it's another day to celebrate and to enjoy with your family, and I have already given you a few posts this week. However there will hopefully be a new one on Monday!
