Garnier SkinActive Hydra Bomb Sheet Mask Review

Welcome to a new post!

I recently went on a German website called Sparwelt, where you can find really good offers if you want to save some money. There's also a page on which you have an overview of samples to sign up for, and I found this one for a new Garnier mask. As my favourite spot-reducing mask is from Garnier, I got pretty exited about trying it. This isn't sponsored by the way haha :)

To be honest, I had never tried a cloth mask before, so this was a whole new experience for me, which I thought would be really lovely to share. This is going to be a pretty small review, but I hope you enjoy it, as I feel like there's nothing better than a good mask during a pamper session! :)

The packaging says that the mask is supposed to be intensivly moisturizing and revitalizing, and give you a fresh and shiny skin, straighten fine lines and be easy to use. It's meant to be for pretty dry and 'tired' skin and moisturize your skin for a whole week.

I have a really nice app where you can check ingredients, called Codecheck - not quite sure if it's available anywhere apart from Germany though - and here are the results.

The mask includes 2 ingredients that are hormonally effective (Methylparaben and Propylparaben), another ingredient named is Pvm/ Ma Copolymer, which is makes it easier for all shitty bits that fly around to get into your skin. There are also 4 ingredients that are only recommended limitedly (is that even a word :D?).  The other 17 are all good. That isn't too bad I guess, but I am really not the biggest fan of hormonally effective bits in the stuff that I put onto my skin - I've seen a lot worse though, so it's alright, I guess.

The mask is pretty pretty drenched in the serum, so be prepared for that. It stays on for 15 minutes, before you either take the excess off or massage it into your skin. I definitely have to say that I prefer putting the mask on the places that I need it, but it hasn't put me off of sheet masks completely.

It felt pretty pretty moisturizing once I had it on, and I had the serum everywhere. When I took it all off, and had massaged the last few bits into my skin, my skin felt a little weird, inbetween being full of last bits of serum and feeling a little dry. As soon as the last few bits were dry, my skin definitely felt a little dry as well. That lasted for a little while.

It is now about an hour and half after I took it off, and I actually feel like I look slightly more glowy, especially around my eyes and my nose, as I don't look as dead anymore. My skin doesn't feel dry anymore, but it doesn't feel moisturized either. It's pretty much back to normal, I would say.

At the end of the day I have to say, that my skin basically feels as smooth as it would be on a good day. I can't really say anything about the results for really dry skin throughout the whole day, as I've got normal skin, but it might help you slightly.

To sum it all up - a nice sheet mask if you fancy one but don't expect too much from it. I don't think I would buy it, but who knows, as it deffo wasn't terrible, just not good enough for what I expected. However, the other mask that Garnier sells, which heatens up on your face, is incredible! So have a look into that if you want something that does amazing work when it comes to spots.

What's your favourite mask? Do you prefer sheet masks or normal ones? Leave me some comments, I would love to find out :)

Have a great day ♥

Sephora Wishlist

Welcome to a new post!

I haven't been looking that much into getting new make-up recently, purely because I have enough of it (though it isn't that much) and I am trying to save money. Yet, there are a few things I like looking at if I ever feel the need to treat myself again. I don't really have the chance to order on Sephora without spending a huge amount of money, nor do I often go to France to have a stroll around the store. I thought I'd make a little list of bits I'd like to treat myself to in the future, and share them with you, as my wishlist posts seem to be quite popular on this blog! :)

I cannot even tell you how many times I've put Smashbox bits into my basket, but then decided against buying them. Yet, I am still quite interested in trying them, as a lot of people are raving about them. I don't really own any good primers, probably making this the perfect set to start off with. $29 isn't that much either for that many different samples to try, even in Euros!

I've always been a massive eyeshadow palette freak, as I love experimenting with different colours, and I would rather invest in a full package of new colours, instead of a single eyeshadow. This palette seems perfect, as it contains both brown and pink shades, which I personally love using. $45 is pretty much the same price as an Urban Decay palette, which I think is okay if it's just as good as that one!

These lip stains are so hyped up on the internet, that I can't do anything but feel the need to try them. They are definitely the one product I want the most from the original Sephora collection. I mean they are $14, but I guess that would be alright to pay if they are as amazing as everyone says they are. They also come in various different shades, so there is something for each type of person to find.

Origins is another brand that I have been putting in my basket, only to order everything except that product that I had chosen. This set seems perfect, even if it is $45, as it includes several different products to try. There's a mask, a moisturizer, another moisturizer with SPF and an eye cream - everything I am looking for. If you have any experiences with Origins skincare, I would love to find out! :)

I think I've already put this on my actual beauty wishlist, but I still haven't had a chance to purchase it, even if I really want to try it. There are plenty to try, even if I think they might be a little pricey with $6 each, but yet they are worth a try, aren't they? ;)

Maybe I mainly want to try this, because Tarte packaging is so nicely designed, but I truly think this is a very nice set. It's quite travel friendly, and I think $12 is alright for that. This set only comes in this shade, but it looks alright to me. I don't currently own any Tarte products, but I feel like this would be a nice way to try some of their products.

Yes, I am slightly obsessed with lip products, but this is another product that has been on my list for quite a while, ever since Danielle Peazer started talking about them on her blog in fact. They are pretty expensive, as one of these pencils is $24, but they look really elegant in my opinion, and worth a try.

What is on your beauty wishlist? Have you ever tried any of these brands before? I never get any comments on my blogposts, which I guess I have to accept, but I would truly love to chat to you. :)

Have an amazing day ♥

TOP 5 Lip Lovings

Welcome to a new post!

I felt like I haven't done a beauty related post in ages, so I thought it was the time to. Personally, the two parts I love most about my make-up routine is eyeshadow and lip products. I feel like I have exactly five colours out of all my make-up that I keep on using, talking about lip products, which is why we're talking my TOP 5 lip products today. I personally love natural lips the best, and I'd rather invest in a good lipstick than a lipgloss, as I am not really a fan of my hair getting stuck on my lips 24/7. So that is exactly what I have been trying to do for the past year, instead of buying tons of cheap stuff that ends up not being properly worth it.

MAC 'Syrup'

This is the lipstick that was supposed to be my first ever high end and MAC lipstick, but actually ended up being my second, as it was literally ALWAYS sold out. It ended up being one of the best purchases I did, and the voucher money was definitely spend wisely! Even though it is much more sheer than the creamy ones that I usually swatch, it still comes out looking so pretty on the lips! It's a Lustre finish, and quite a natural colour. I'd describe it as a natural pinky shade, slightly shimmering, but being the perfect mix between noticeable and absolutely natural shaded. You have to reapply it a little more often than Satin finishes, but it disappears quite evenly. If you prefer rose toned, natural lip colours like I do, this is the colour for you to go with.

Fleur de Force ' 020 Written in the Stars'

I knew I wanted this lipgloss straight away when Fleur announced her beauty line, and I am so happy I asked for this for my birthday. As I already mentioned, I am not really the biggest fan of lipgloss, but this one has blown me away. The consistency is so lovely. I feel like it's more of a sticky lip stain, because it stays on that long. It looks like a lipgloss, but literally feels like a lipstick as long as you aren't walking through a storm throwing your hair around. But not just the consistency, but also the colour. It's a really pretty inbetween a rosy and peachy shade. It's another natural colour, but the fact that it's glossy makes it go all boom out on your lips. If you want a natural peachy, pinky shade that is still nicely noticeable, and don't care that it's a little sticky at the beginning, check this one out!

MAC 'Brave'

This is actually the lipstick that I bought instead of 'Syrup' at the beginning, since it was sold out, but Brave was right behind it on my wishlist. This is another natural shade, really pretty for every day wear, even to school. It's a Satin finish, making it quite long lasting compared to Syrup. It's a little warmer than that one though, and a bit more browney-pinky toned than rosy toned. The colour stays on your lips for quite  a while, but I've been noticing that when I'm drinking a lot there's only a weird looking patch on my bottom lip left. But all in all still a great lipstick - otherwise I wouldn't be showing it to you in this post ;)

Urban Decay ' Rush'

This colour is actually quite similar to Brave, and it wasn't even the colour I was meant to buy - cheers to the people at the counter giving the wrong names to the lipsticks! However, I actually really like this colour. It's slightly more lilac toned than Brave, but there's not much of a difference. I feel like the biggest difference is actually how it feels on your lips. I feel like this one is a little more smooth on my lips, so whenever I feel like putting something a little more moisturizing on my lips I'll go for Rush rather than Brave.

Tanya Burr 'Enchanted Forest'

I always wanted this colour but never bought it because I thought I would never wear it and it wouldn't be worth the money, until I found it on Amazon for 5€. I have actually not been wearing it that often, however I absolutely love it. It's a little more noticeable than my other favourites, as it is a darker pinkish shade - perfect, especially for the colder seasons! It doesn't always go on that well, and it can look a little patchy from time to time, but put over a lipstick, you don't even notice it anymore. It's a really lovely consistancy, and even if it's a little sticky, it isn't the biggest hair-catcher, if you want to call it something :D.

I'm always looking for some new lip inspiration. What are some of your favourite lip products? Tell me, I'd love to find out! :)
Have a great day ♥

MAC & Revlon Haul

Welcome to a new post!

I recently went online and used my vouchers for a German make-up store, that I got for Christmas and my birthday, and ordered a few new things. I really wanted to invest in a few new things instead of buying tons of really cheap stuff that I am not entirely happy with.

I orginially had also ordered some skincare bits as well, but it really is important to look at the size of the bottle that you are buying, guys. Anything can sound kinda cheap, but then a tiny tiny bottle might arrive if you forgot to check how much there is supposed to be in it. :D Let me tell you, I know what I am talking about. :D

Here's a quick overview over the things that I bought.

I literally went mad when only the insert of the MAC palette arrived, because I had no idea that you had to order the insert AND the proper palette, which is quite annoying. I still ended up ordering the actual palette then, because I had wanted this palette for ages. It is just so pretty, even if it's literally just a piece of plastic for 26€. The price is ridiculous, but to be honest I will treasure this and probably won't buy another one for quite a while, as it actually is quite a pricey thing, especially for someone my age.

I want this palette to only consist of loads of colours that I will actually use and love a lot, so basically - tons of browns and golden shimmery colours, so when I have filled this palette it will be this desert-island-palette kind of thing.
To start that off I ordered two eyeshadows, both colours that I will get a lot of use out of. I chose the shades 'Handwritten', as well as 'All that glitters'
'Handwritten' is a really nice warm brown, which actually the exact colour that I was looking for, as I like wearing this kinda colour in the crease and corner of my eye.
'All that glitters' is really hyped, so I guess I won't have to tell you much about it, but it's basically just a really nice golden, apricot shimmery shade, perfect for the whole lid.

Ever since I saw Lily Pebbles talking about the MAC lipstick in 'Syrup' I have been interested in this shade. It is the prettiest shade ever. A really nice neutral tone, that isn't too unnoticeable. I would describe it as an old kind of pinkish tone with a really nice brown undertone, which gives it this really nice and unique in between shade. If you are looking for something natural but a bit more noticeable, have a look at this one, you might fall in love with it as well.

They are finally selling some Revlon bits in German online shops which I am really happy about, as I didn't end up buying anything when I went to London.
I ended up going for the Lacquer Lip Balm in the shade 105, which I thought would be a  really nice natural rosy tone, but when it came, actually looked more peachy toned. It contains quite a lot of glitter, which I am not really a big fan of, and I don't think it's very moisturizing either, but I do still like it.

This is a sample of the Strictly Jil Sander Shampoo, which I actually got for ordering so much stuff lol. I did expect something else, but I always enjoy trying new shampoos, so we'll see how I get on with it.

And last but not least the samples that I picked with both orders, which I am really happy about, even if the shade of the foundation won't match me. :D

Thank you for reading this post, and my other blogposts. I am really thankful for all of it. :)
Let me know if there is anything in particular that you want me to talk about, or think I should check out. Recommendations are always appreciated. :)

Current Daily Make-Up for School

Welcome to a new post!

I personally like wearing make-up for school, and I am also allowed to, which I sometimes am pretty thankful for. I thought I would show you the things that I currently wear  on a daily basis to go there.

I had a phase back during November and December when I just loved putting a lot of eyeshadow on, maybe because I felt like if I had to stress myself out with exams I could at least give myself some time for a nice eye look. I don't really know, but at the moment I am definetely back to a very quick and simple look, and prefer to rather put on a nice lipstick to top it off, since that takes a lot less time.

Usually I start with putting some of my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer on my spots and blemishes. You will probably all know how much it is hyped, so I won't go into much detail, as I completely agree.
I don't like that one for under my eyes though, because I want something a bit more creamy and less thick to actually feel a bit more awake and not just look like it. I don't really know why I feel like that, but I just go with it, and use my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer under my eyes. It was the first thing I actually spend a little bit more money on when I got into make-up and ever since then I have been repurchasing it over and over. This has to be like my 4th or 5th one, as I love it so much! It is really nice and creamy but not to thick, has an amazing colour to suit me (shade 15) and it stays on really well.

You might be thinking I am forgetting my eyebrows, but I am not. I go straight to my eyes, because I don't do anything to my eyebrows apart from setting them into place with a brush, as they are so bushy and black, no one believes me I ain't use any products on them. :D
So since I got my Naked palette for Christmas, I haven't been using any other palette since, as it has a perfect range of shades, for whatever colour I feel like using. My personal favourites so far are Naked, Buck, Half Baked and Smog. Depending on what I feel like I am either using some glittery shades with either Virgin or Buck to blend it, or if I am feeling like a little less colour, I will use Naked and Buck, or even nothing at all.
I am so happy I finally own this palette, because it really is my favourite make-up product I own as I absolutely love the texture and shade range of the eyeshadows.

Then I am using my favourite mascara combo at the moment, which consists of the Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp one and the Maybelline Lash Sensational. I used to only use the Last Sesational, but I am currently really liking the mix of both of the mascaras, as I feel like the Yves Rocher one seperates my lashes really niceley while the Lash Sensational does and amazing job at lengthening.

Ever since I got back from England in March last year, I don't think I have been using any other powder than the Rimmel Stay Matte one. I only owned one powder before, but I was felt like you wear able to really clearly see it and it's colour, and it would get cakey after some time. With this one I don't get either of those problems, as I chose the transparent one, and it feels really nice on the skin and is really unnoticeable. I never had much truble with shinyness, but still absolutely love the finish of this powder.
Before I use powder I will sometimes use some concealer again under my eyes, if I feel like mascara made it appear a bit darker again, but that usually doesn't happen that often.

For lip products I usually like to go for something really natural, just to give it all a nice little ending touch, but not make it appear too much, not just because I am not really the person to wear that many darker shades on my lips.

One lip product that I go for sometimes which is a bit more colourful though is Zoe Sugg's Lip Balm in the shade or taste 'Vanilla Cream'. It gives your lips a really nice reddish, pinky colour but also moisturizes them really really well, much better than other coloured lip balms I have tried.
Then there is one of my newest addiotions to my collection, the Urban Decay lipstick in 'Rush'. It's a really nice natural rosy shade with a brown undertone, that makes it appear really smooth, which it actually feels like as well.
Lastly for lip products I have been loving Fleur De Force's lipstick in '020 Written In The Stars'. It's almost like a lip stain I would say, and if you want something that looks like a lipgloss, as it's really glossy, but also something that stays on really long, these will be something for you.

I hope you enjoyed this post, even though there are a lot of these going around on the internet. Make sure to leave me some of your favourite make-up products for school or uni or work down below. :)
