Dancing Through Spring

 Welcome to a new post!

This actually was planned to be the typical fashion post. Turns out me and my friend focused more on fun and pretty shots than actual fashion pics. I thought I would show you them anyway, as there are still so many pretty pics that came out of our little shoot in the woods.
Who needs tons of those typical fashion posts anyway? We had so much fun shooting it away for hours, so why should I keep that from you? For a few hours we were able to forget things like school and completely focus on making some pretty shots instead. If you ever feel like you need to shut yourself off the rest of the world for a while, go grab a friend and a camera, and leave it all behind for a few hours.

(Funnily (is that even a word? :D) enough it started snowing whilst I was editing the pictures.)

Sorry that they aren't all edited the same way, I just felt like some were better suited for a different effect. So now, let's dig into the pictures! :)

What I'm Wearing:

Jacket: ONLY
Top: H&M (last year)
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: Converse
Pearl bracelet: Bijou Brigitte
Heart bracelet: Mon Coeur

Thanks to my friend for shooting these, I loved that day. We should do that again as soon as possible. You know who you are ;) ♥

I hope everyone enjoyed this post, as I haven't done any posts like this since I started my blog. Leave me some requests for future blogposts below, maybe even types of outfits I should shoot. :)

Have a lovely week ♥

Redecorating Your Room In 7 Steps

 Welcome to new post!

Whilst I am kind of on a little study break till May; since there aren't any exams at the minute, I have really been into redecorating my room. I've been wanting to do that for like 2 years now I guess, but never actually did it. We've changed my furniture over the past few years though, so gladly, that was nothing I had to worry about as I had already chosen much mature and grown-up pieces and colours.

It's still pretty IKEA based (not the typical German blogger girl IKEA room, but still a lot of IKEA), and if I could I would pick maybe a different layout and design for the shelves, but to be honest, I don't have that much money and if I did that I wouldn't like it either after a few months, since I get bored of my room quite easily. I just love a change.

My room definetely isn't screaming 'INTERIOR DESIGN GENIUS', but I have always loved redecorating and moving my room around, and I spend hours and hours and hours looking for inspiration. I can already hear my purse screaming on the day I will decide to move out.

However, though it has taken me so long to actually do something, I have come up with quite a little list or routine of things to think of and do when redecorating a room. I thought I'd share that with you, and maybe I am able to help at least a few of you that are a bit bored of their room as well.

1) Brainstorm

To start with you should ask yourself a few questions. Maybe write them down in order not to forget anything and end up being mad yourself after spending tons of money on new stuff. Mindmaps are great for this kind of stuff, and you create tons of different categories to write your ideas down. If you are more artsy, why not draw it all?

Ask yourself.

Why do you want to change your current design of your room?

What do you want to change?

Do you want to go all out and repaint, buy new furniture etc or do you just want to get some new decoration for your walls and shelves?

What are you looking for in particular?

Do you have a certain vibe in mind that you want to your room to represent?

2) Budget

How much are you able and how much do you want to spend? Set yourself a certain price that you don't want to pass, to keep your whole budget in mind and not spend money you don't have or shouldn't have spent. Do you want to properly invest or would you rather buy cheaper stuff, buy bigger pieces whenever you have saved up for them or do it all in one go?

 3) Get inspiration

This is probably one of my favourite parts of redecorating, maybe plainly because I love photography and looking at other peoples rooms and houses.
The place that I found the most inspiration on was definetely WeHeartIt. They have such great pictures on there, making you want to own 20 houses to decorate. I've put together a little inspiration board for my own room, click HERE to have a little look.

Another page is also Pinterest, though I personally prefer looking at pictures instead of blogs for home inspo. Instagram is also a place where you can find tons of people posting their pictures under hashtags like #roominspiration #roominspo or #homedecor, for example.
Last but not least, is Bloglovin', which I love for any kind of inspiration that I am looking for, as it combines so many different things. HERE you can find another little inspiration board that I have created for home design.

4) Measure your room

I feel like this is the part a lot of people tend to forget before they go homeware shopping. Measuring your room, especially the parts of that you want to redecorate is so important and helpful! I cannot tell you how often I have stood in front of certain things and thought "Wow, I love that piece, but I am really not sure wether it isn't too big for that space." It is so annoying, trust me! If you find that step as boring as I do, just pop on a good Spotify playlist or some Youtube videos, and time will pass a lot quicker!

5) Make a shopping list

Now that you have measured your room and found tons of inspiration, it is time to write a list. Some people might prefer doing that in their head, but I personally prefer writing it down.
Write down everything that you want to get or have a look at in the shops. Don't think that you will be able to go to one shop and get everything, because if you have that mind set, the chances are high that you won't even find half of the things that you were looking for. Maybe you could even DIY a few pieces or freshen up some older bits 'n bobs?

Also have a think about what shops you want to go to, in order to get the things on your list. What do you need, and where are you going to get it? There's tons of possibilites! There's IKEA and other furniture shops, home decor shops, tools shops, and also Etsy and other online shops to find stuff at that you might like and want to get!

6) Declutter

This is actually a step that I only follow when I'm in the mood for it, but something that you maybe should consider doing, especially when you are thinking of buying new shelves or a wardrobe, for example. This is obviously not a must, but we all know that satisfying feeling of a fresh and decluttered drawer.

7) Go shopping, redecorate and give away

The time has finally come to go shopping! You've got your inspiration, your measurements and your shopping list, so now it's time to actually go for it. Redecorate your room, and whatever you feel like you won't need anymore you can give it away to friends, family or to charity. I am wishing you a lot of fun doing this, because who doesn't love a good shop around IKEA looking for some new bits to decorate and funk up your room! ;)

I am hoping that I was able to help you at least in the slightest, and that now you are ready to take it on and redecorate the room you've been bored of for so long! :) Please leave me some of your favourite stores and pages for home inspiration and shopping as well, and we can all give each other a little more inspiration! :)

Have a great week! ♥

Yves Rocher Hydra Végétal Moisturizing Creme

 Welcome to a new post!

If you've read my post about sustainability a few weeks back, you might know that me and my friend are writing an essay about natural cosmetics. For that we decided to try out a few more things ourselves, as we've had expierence with it, but not enough to actually write about that as well. One of the brands we are going to mention is Yves Rocher, which is quite a famous natural beauty brand in my opinion.

I had been searching for an alternative for my NIVEA daily cream which contains a few not so nice bits, that I won't go into further detail in. That is why the Hydra Végétal Moisturizing Cream came straight into my focus in the store. My friend has tried it before and said that she thinks it is quite a good product, which is another reason why I ended up picking this product. Another thing that really drew me towards it was the fact that you were able to get a version with SPF. I wasn't particulary looking for one with SPF, but I was definetely thinking about it, so this was basically the perfect match.
I've now been trying it out for a little while, and thought it was time to give you a little review on it.

Let's start with the base, meaning the actual packaging of the whole creme. Both the paper outside the actual container and the container itself, which is made out of glass, are recyeable. That is something I usually never look into, but now that I have bought it, I actually feel like I want to have a look into that topic a bit more, seeing as I am quite interested in the climate change etc. The container is held in really decent colours of blue and white, but because of the glass bottle it looks quite luxurious actually.

The smell is really nice and fresh, something I can't really find words for, but it definetely doesn't smell like chemicals would. You can definetely smell that there are certain plant based things in there, but that is what I find even more lovelier. It's not the least strongest smell, but not too much either.

When I first tried it on my hand, I actually made the mistake of taking way too much, but you actually only need a teeny tiny amount of it. It's a really thin cream but saying that, it actually feels a lot heavier on your skin than you would think from the consistancy. If you have quite oily skin, I recommend you try it out in store as it might not be something for you. The cream sinks into your skin quite easily and leaves a lovely little glow behind.

I didn't really know what to expect from the cream when I first bought it and put it on, but what I can say is that it's not the most moisturizing cream I have ever seen. It's for normal to combination skin though, so I guess that's alright. I think it is pretty much in the middle between a light moisturizer and a pretty thick and heavy one. However, I still love the product a lot more than other moisturizers that I have tried.

To sum it all up, a pretty good moisturizer for normal skintypes, not very expensive, cruelty and pretty much chemical free with SPF, not only making your skin feel better, but also yourself and your thoughts. Both your skin and the nature will thank you for it.

Is there any natural beauty product that you love a lot? What is it? I'd love to find out and use it for further inspiration in this topic. :)

Have a great day, and a great weekend. ♥

Hair Care Wishlist

 Welcome to a new post!

A few weeks back I posted skin care and make-up wishlists, so I thought it would finally be the time to do a hair inspired wishlist post.

I love trying out new hair stuff, the only problem is that my hair doesn't, which is why I haven't tried most of the stuff that is a bit more expensive, as I don't want to invest in it and then not be able to use it. At some point I am going to invest in these products though, wether that is tomorrow or in two years time. I really want to try them, so here's my list.

1) ghd V gold classic styler
150€/170$/£118

Starting off with a styling product, though I basically curl or straighten my hair around three times a year, is a bit of a weird one I have to confess. But that is mainly because all I own is a 10€ curler from the local drugstore, which is alright if you want really big curls that drop after half an hour, even with hair spray. I love my hair both curly and straight, so I really want to invest in a product like this to do more with my hair, apart from putting it into buns and pony tails.

2) ogx hydrating macadamia oil Shampoo
8€/$9/£6

I have been eyeing the ogx shampoos up, ever since I first walked past them in London last year, and I have wanted to try them even more since they started to sell them in German drugstores. I mean, I probably mainly want to try them because I love their packaging, which is a bit stupid, but I see so many people talking about these, that I think they could be worth a try!

3) ogx Renewing Morroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil
9€/$10/£7

I love a good hair oil, so I also want to try one of the ogx ones, as my hair usually reacts a lot better to oils than shampoos and conditioners. They come in really cute tubes, and I think it would be the perfect size for travelling as well. I haven't heard as much about the oils as the shampoos, but I don't see why they shouldn't be good as well.

 4) Bumble and bumble Gentle Shampoo
 9€/$10/£7

Another brand that I have been eyeing up for ages, and I had planned to pick something up from Bumble and bumble, until I saw the prize in Boots or Superdrug and my jaw dropped. I do however still want to try them, even though a lot of their stuff is quite pricey. I have chosen the Gentle shampoo, as it sounded like something quite moisturizing and shine creating, but not to harsh on my hair.

5) Kérastase Cristalliste Bain Cristal Luminous Perfecting Shampoo for Thick Hair
15€/$17/£12

Kérastase is another brand on the pricier side of hair care, but I also want to try some of their stuff, as people have been talking about the brand for ages. Also, can we please talk about the colour and packaging in general of this shampoo. I have also got quite thick hair, so a 'perfecting shampoo' sounds like a nice thing to try for me, and see what it does. They have a pretty big range of tons of different shampoos for different kinds of hairs, so make sure to check them out if you are able and want to invest a little bit more money into your hair.

6) Pureology Hydrate Shampoo
15€/$17/£12

This shampoo has been all over youtube for the past few weeks, and especially Fleur de Force has been talking about how much she loves this a lot. To be fair, I don't think I would have ever thought about picking this up before anyone started talking about it, but now I am pretty interested to see what is meant to be so amazing about this shampoo, that people are raving it so much. I don't really have colour-treated hair, since I have never dyed my hair before, but that ain't a reason for me not to try it. A shampoo is a shampoo in some cases, I guess ;).

7) Macadamia Professional Nourish & Repair Mini Set
32€/$37/£26

The times were every youtube and blogger used to talk about the macadamia products seems to have cooled down, I feel like, but they are still on my wishlist. The price always kinda put me off, but I found this set, and now I am pretty eager to try it soon, as it contains all the three products of their range which I would like to try, talking about the mask, oil treatment and shampoo.

8) Wet Brush
18€/$17/£14

Another product that a few people have been talking about on youtube, and some even saying that is better than the Tangle Teezer. I bloody love my Tangle Teezer, and I don't know what I would do without it, but I think I still might have to give it a try, if it is meant to be that good. They also sell them in bigger and smaller sizes, so this might be a better travel alternative than the Tangle Teezer, if it actually ends up being a good one.

9) Moroccanoil Treatment
starting at 15€/$17/£12

This probably the product I have wanted to try for the longest since I started getting more into hair care, and it's still on my list, maybe not as high on it as it used to be though. It's a little pricey, but I feel like it would be something perfect to treat me and my hair to during a time where I am styling my hair a bit more often due to lots of festive activities.

How did you like this post? Do you have any other recommendations what hair care products I should try? Let me know what products are on your own list as well, I'd honestly love to find out! :)

Have a great weekend :)

TOP 5 Travel Dreams

 Welcome to a new post!

I am one of those people that absolutely loves to travel, but hasn't seen many places yet. I guess I am still pretty lucky, because I did see a few of them while some others don't even have the money to feed themselves and their families. However, that is not the topic that I want to talk about today. Today I want to show you my top 5 dream destinations for the future. These places have all been on my list for a while, so what better place to talk about than my blog. They aren't in any particular order.

1) Brighton

Ever since I saw Zoe Sugg aka Zoella moving to Brighton and showing us around in all of her vlogs, it has been a dream for me to visit it. It seems like the perfect city for me, because I love the see and cities, but I would always prefer living in a smaller city to a bigger one, I feel like. Brighton is full of colours, things to explore, cute little shopping streets and tons to photograph. Fingers crossed, I will have visited before 2017 is over.

2) Sweden

I never had much interest into Sweden, but for some reason something in my clicked and changed around the beginning of last year. Ever since then I have wanted to visit that country. The fact that my current crush is from Sweden as well, even adds to that. I just feel like it's such a cute country, and I would also love to visit in the winter and go to the Christmas markets (not that we don't have any good ones in Germany). I feel like it would be a place that I would really enjoy to visit and to relax at.

3) USA

Yes, I had to mention the USA. I absolutely hate that I don't have the money to take part in our school's exchange with America due to other projects coming up, because I would love to visit and explore. I obviously would love to visit New York, L.A. and San Fransico, but I feel like I would also enjoy seeing places like Tenessee. I would probably be broke by the end of that trip though, so maybe it's better that I don't go before I have saved tons and tons of money...:D

4) Ireland

I still blame Mr. Niall Horan for this point on my list. I never ever had any interest in visiting Ireland until him. I absolutely love staring at pictures of Ireland, because I think it is such a beautiful country. Visiting Dublin isn't even on top of my list. I'd rather travel around smaller cities and places, and see the nature, as I feel like Ireland is the place to go for that. One day, I'll make that dream come true and come back with tons of memories.

5) Australia

Last but not least is Australia. Now, this is actually a bit of a weird one for me. I absolutely hate any animals like scorpions, spider, snakes and whatever the other creepy stuff that is running around there waiting to eat some little german bloggers for lunch. The country itself is so pretty though, and there are also animals like koalas and kangaroos and they have the Great Barrier Reef. One day I will have to go there, even just for a few days, because I still want to see the country and the cities, places and things that it offers.

What places do you personally would like to visit in the future? Or are you the kind of person that would rather stay in her home country instead of traveling? I'd love to find out! :)

Have a great week ♥
